Do Walleye See HCL Glow and UV Jigs?

Do Walleye See HCL Glow and UV Jigs?

Walleye, have excellent vision which helps them to locate prey in the dark or murky waters where they typically live. One of the ways they do this is by being able to see light that is outside of the visible spectrum, specifically ultraviolet (UV) light.
High Caliber Lures work by emitting light in the UV spectrum, which is invisible to the human eye but can be seen by many species of fish, including walleye. This is because the rods and cones in a fish's eye are sensitive to different wavelengths of light than those in a human eye. Fish eyes contain a type of cell called a rod cell, which is sensitive to light in the ultraviolet and blue spectrum, which makes it easier for fish to detect UV light.
One of the key reasons why our glow jigs & lures are so effective for walleye fishing is that they mimic the appearance of natural prey. Many aquatic organisms, such as plankton and certain species of worms and insects, emit a natural glow in the dark, or fluorescence. By mimicking this natural light, you can fool walleye into thinking they are real prey, making them more likely to take the bait.
They have a unique ability to see UV light, allowing them to detect glow in the dark lures. These lures can be an effective tool for catching walleye, as they mimic the appearance of natural prey and can fool the fish into thinking they are real food. By choosing lures that emit light in the blue or green part of the UV spectrum, anglers can increase their chances of catching walleye.
