How to Fish Big Rivers
Cast upstream and across at a 45-degree angle, let the jig sink to the bottom, and work it back slowly with a hop-and-drag retrieve. At current seams, let the jig swing and pause on the downstream drift — big walleye often hit on the swing when the jig accelerates and then decelerates through the transition. Stay in contact with the bottom and set hard on any tick or weight you feel.
